Dear Friends of ITO EN:

I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their support during the past year. Our customers have always been our main priority, for you are the foundation of our success.

In 2007, consumer demand for ready-to-drink, unsweetened green teas continued to grow at a rapid pace.  As a result, we expanded our distribution in the mass market channels and have added several mainstream retailers to include Kroger, Publix, Safeway and Wal-mart, in addition to the existing Target markets.

With this growing demand, new products were developed and TEAS’ TEA MINT GREEN and a line of unsweetened tea products, DR ANDREW WEIL FOR TEA, were launched with the world-renowned leader and pioneer of integrative medicine, Andrew Weil M.D.

We are proud to announce that we received 3 awards at the 2007 World Tea Expo in Atlanta, Georgia for the DR. ANDREW WEIL FOR TEA Brewed Teas- Jasmine White won “Best Overall” and “Best Flavored” with Darjeeling, winning “Best Unflavored”  both in the ready-to-drink category.  In Shizuoka, Japan, we participated in the 2007 World Ocha(Tea) Festival, sharing the good news of green teas popularity in the United States.

As part of our ongoing social responsibility, we were delighted to support education, offering a $25,000 College Scholarship” through our TEAS’ TEA Summer Consumer promotion.  The grand prize was awarded to Patricia Morris, a mom from Ohio who will use the prize for her son’s college education.

To kick off 2008, we look forward to our collaboration with Etown by sponsoring a Haiku Celebration.  Etown is an exciting weekly radio program who’s mission is to educate, entertain and inspire a diverse audience through music and conversation. The winning entry will have their Haiku poem graced on our TEAS’ TEA bottle- sharing their personal message of a  socially responsible theme.

Should you ever be in New York City, we hope you will stop in to experience our flagship tea store, ITO EN New York, voted “2008 Best Tea Emporium” for the 4th consecutive year by Zagat’s Gourmet Shopping & Entertainment Guide.

We invite you to dine at our Japanese restaurants- KAI and Donguri, which continue to

receive high praise from Zagat Survey and Forbes Dining Guide. Both Chef Yorinobu Yamasaki and Chef Hitoshi Kagawa’s culinary talent will certainly be a memorable experience.

Our commitment again this year for 2008 is to bring products that bring refreshment and health through our five fundamental concepts--Natural, Healthy, Safe, Well-Designed and Delicious.

We look forward to your continued friendship and support in the coming year.

All the best,

Yosuke Honjo
